Not A Change For The Better
NPR recently combined several of their arts podcasts (books, movies, etc.) into this single Culturepedia offering, probably due to budget constraints. Unfortunately, this means that instead of getting 30 minutes of movie content, we now get a hodge-podge of Entertainment Weekly stories. The host don't have much to say except to offer opinions I could care less about. For Hollywood news, check out KCRW's "The Treatment" rather than this new show.Read full review »

More reviews of Pop Culture Happy Hour
These freeform chats are dominated by bland, uninformative banter. The hosts talk about themselves more than the topics at hand, displaying little insight. And microphone-distorting fratboy-like guffaws (at nothing!) are peppered throughout. Really disappointing. I'll never donate to NPR again.Read full review »
