This podcast features interviews and commentary from the pop and jazz critics of the NY Times, who seem to have a genuine rapport with each other and also a well rounded view of current artists in the context of today's music biz. They don't sound desperately cool or hopefully hip like npr hosts, they just talk about the music, why it's news and where it fits in the culture or marketplace. Sisario is a good host, asks direct questions, is willing to play the music fan as well as an expert. The live sets are greatly missed, and we hope they come back.Read full review »

I love this pod. The interactions because Joe and Jon are great, Karen is great. Just listened to the Pusha T & Drake episode unpacked - yes I’m behind a bit - but it was fantastic. Joe and Jon know what they are talking about and I love listening.
