Great show; poor pandemic coverage; less pundits
Big fan of the show. However, getting rid of the podcast during the pandemic was frustrating, especially for millennials and Gen Z who don’t have access to cable TV and rely on podcasts for the news and current affairs analysis. I’m glad that the podcast is back, but please update it sooner. Often, the post-pandemic podcast isn’t released until the day after it airs, rendering much of the discussion already outdated given the fast pace of Canadian politics these days. Please release the podcast version of the episode as soon it airs on the CBC. The sooner the better, especially for those of us who don’t live in Ontario and therefore operate in different time zones. A final note: less pundits. More officials. While Vassy does try to push them to directly answer her questions (Canadian politicians are incredibly evasive, especially compared to what you see down south where I find they’re at least more direct even if what they’re saying is less agreeable), usually it takes the third or fourth try of Vassy repeating a question to finally get an actual direct answer out of her guest. However, due to time limitations she doesn’t always get the chance to push to that extent and really get an honest answer to her question. Maybe dedicating less time to the political panel and more time to officials would provide some extra wiggle room for the host to really push her guests and get proper answers to her questions, rather than the usual evasive talking points. Overall, however, a great show. Vassy is an excellent journalist who is clearly respected by everyone she interviews. I think she should use that respect to push her guests a little further, but I’m splitting hairs at this point.

More reviews of Power and Politics
This podcast will get you up to speed on all the political news. There is a good mix of information and opinion and the panels are excellent and usually well-balanced with members of all political parties

Rosemarie Barton is an excellent host; politicians want to be with her and politicos want to be her. The days Terry fills in for her are somehow disappointing, and Terry's not bad. I'd like to point out that all the bad reviews on this show were from before Rosie started hosting it.
