Pride and Prejudice, first published on 28 January 1813, is the most famous of Jane Austen's novels. It is one of the first romantic comedies in the history of the novel and its opening is one of the most famous lines in English literature —"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife." Well...it started out great.....
I loved the reader that began the book, he was very good. Then suddenly a woman took over reading...ugh, screechy voice!

Pretty cool podcast.
This works out fairly well for me as I have to read this for my British Literature class. It’s easy to put on and listen to and do chores or anything else. My one issue is the sort of blandness you get in the narration at times, but they do a fairly good job overall for reading a book like this....Read full review »
