“I've listened to the Lua, Prolog, Go, Erlang, and Basic shows. I really wanted to like these, but mostly they were a waste of time.
About half or more of the show is a general discussion of technology unrelated to programming. They should either cut this section altogether or focus it into a programming language news section. A 30-45 minute show would be perfect.
Unfortunately when they do start discussing programming languages it's clear the presenters are unprepared and unfocused. A plan would help. The Prolog and BASIC episodes were disasters. At least look up what the language's acronym means before recording. The Go and Erlang discussions were pretty good. Lua had some good points.”Read full review »
