Pretty bad
I listened to the Lua podcast. It was over an hour long (1:09) yet almost the entire show was completely unrelated to programming (snow shoes, investment, etc.; I'm not kidding). It wasn't until *46 minutes in* that they start talking about Lua, and then it was a rambling mess, including a several minutes detour into how hashtables work, a terrible discussion about metatables (including the wildly inaccurate assertion that they're fringe and/or rarely used), and outright misinformation (claiming Lua caches table access; a mistake probably stemming from their misunderstanding of metatables). It really tells you nothing about the power and elegance of Lua, nor why it's so popular in the domains where it's used.Read full review »

Very good listen, they have a well rounded knowledge of programming languages, only problem is that it is not as frequent as I would hope. Keep up the good work, love the podcast!!

Great dynamic between the two presenters, interesting mix of tech news, useful 'tools of the biweek' and synopses of programming languages. Great work guys :)Read full review »
