Listen now
Description
Aquatics GB named their Paralympic Swimming squad for the Paris Paralympics 2024 this week. Stephen Clegg was one of the para-swimmers selected and will head to his third Paralympic Games after appearances at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. So far an elusive Paralympic gold medal has eluded the Edinburgh University swimmer, but after winning World Para Swimming titles in the S12 100m Butterfly and 100m Backstroke and setting multiple Para-Swimming World records could Paris 2024 be his year? This week on the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we discuss with Stephen the challenges and benefits being a visually impaired swimmer brings. He shares everything From training to using feel rather than sight to stroke counting and slowing down for a turn.
