Painful to listen to.
I am pretty sure I have never heard the words “uh” and “um” more, especially on a podcast! Then you listen to 2 out of the 3 hosts trip over their word, to the point it is hard to follow what they are saying, and almost painful to listen to. However, as someone who use to struggle with stuttering, i was trying to let it go, and be understandable. Then you listen to them try to sound smart. Here is a tip guys, people who are truly smart, do not need to prove they are smart by the use of their vocabulary, it becomes apparent in the context of what you say, not how you say it. Then came the homophobia and transphobia. The reason the DSM is updated somewhat frequently is because we learn that things we once thought were mental illnesses aren’t. (Seizure disorders use to be classified as a psychological issue.) That is the beauty of science and medicine, we learn and we change. No homosexuality and people who are transgender (not “transvestitism”- which is an outdated and very derogatory term) are no longer mental disorders (and haven't been for decades!) and that’s a good thing. Also, the “church of Satan” is not “full of homosexuals” and all homosexuals are not satanists! One of my closest friends is trans and she is a devote Catholic, and a lot of my friends who are part of the LGBTQIA community are pretty devote Christian’s. I haven’t looked at the actually statistics, but I would venture to guess a very low percentage of the LGBT+ community are part of the church of Satan. It was actually kind of sickening to listen to! I love movies, I love psychology and I love thinking about “mind control,” so I was super excited when I saw this podcast on my suggested podcasts. If anyone else likes podcasting, and their favorite word isn’t “uh” and you aren’t homophobic, PLEASE make a podcast about this subject, because I think if done well, it could be an amazing podcast! Sadly, this is NOT done well at all!Read full review »

Some interesting topics, but audio quality and lip-smacking rendered much of this material unlistenable.

This has easily become one of my favorite podcasts. As a lover of film I’m so glad a podcast like this exists, precisely as deep as I want to get about films!
