“The content of the actual discussion is always very solid, but it takes far too long for each episode to get going. Just listened to their Waters of Mars discussion and it took a full 30 minutes to get to the discussion. I understand that engaging with your community and plugging other platforms and etcetera are important for growing a podcast, but I would strongly recommend either shrinking the preamble down, or shifting some of it to after the discussion segment. I think it would make it a lot easier for me to get into the podcast, and would certainly make the episodes more binge-able. As I said, the actual content is good, so I hope this isn’t too harsh, but the opening segments make it genuinely difficult for me to get into the pod.”
