Each week Australia's favourite leftists virtue-signal a complacent live audience. Sometimes the panel will feature an antagonistic conservative voice. Hosted by a smug Tony Jones, these "Adventures in democracy" often appear as a one-sided echo chamber.

Great show

Awkward questions from a selection of people chosen by the ABC to represent a diverse group of people, but mostly lefties, responded to by media trained politicians with non answers. Yes, and paid for by tax payers who probably don't watch it mostly.

Elitist left wing rubbish. Full of identity politics with a staged audience and mostly an uninteresting panel. The presenter in just a labor party hack. Truly shameful that this program is funded by the Australian taxpayer.

5 stars when it's back!

Brilliant show & essential viewing for all Australians. Unfortunately the podcast version is frequently late and once it IS posted often corrupted - video and audio missing or unplayable. Expected much more from the national broadcaster, considering thousands of podcasters with less means publish...Read full review »

Wonderful debate offering various sides. Accusations of leftwing bias are comical, they have an even balance and offer well known right wing pundits a voice. Tony is an Australian gem.

Shouldn't take this long (2 days) to upload an episode and shouldn't have changed the Insiders podcast altogether.

I'm so glad this show is available as a podcast, as a twitter write in said one episode, how wonderful that we live in a country whose politicians must answer to their people on TV in front of the country. compare that to a dictatorship. we are very lucky. I would love to have an audio only...Read full review »

Gesprächsrunde aus Australien: manchmal feurige Debatte, manchmal leidenschaftliche Diskussion, das Publikum stellt den heutigen PolitikerInnen brisanten Fragen zu aktuellen Themen.

Thanks ABC for these podcasts. It helps us expats keep in touch and helps us keep up our Aus accents!

I love the show, with Tony's quick 'gotcha' quips and a panel that is almost as quick. I have noticed that episode 16 (21-5-12) is missing. Where is it? Why can't I see it? Where did it go?

Stacked and manipulated to the hilt! Even Tony Jones admitted to Father Bob Brown that the ABC is the national answer to the Murdoch press. Shame, no representation of genuine Australian opinion, political of otherwise...

Excellent show, a very even view even though the audience is full of right wingers... Download it! I love it!

Where's the taping of the 12th of march show?

Call me a nerd but I am 17 and this is easily the highlight of my week. Tony Jones is the best journalist and presenter of his generation. If only more Australians would watch the show. You can take this as a comment.

Left wing bias. Not interested in other views. They pack the audience with greenies also. Tony Jones wouldn't know what democracy was

Where is it?

Great and unmissable television. But it always seems to be held in left leaning dependency states like Victoria and NSW. There should be equal splits between producing states an dependency states to accurately reflect Aussie thinking.

This show is awesome, been watching it since the start. Although, I recently started watching it while following the twitter tags - absolutely hilarious! So many funny people out there! I really hate missing it.

Great but sometimes the guest polititions seem to not be there to look at the debate but just to agree and smile the whole time pretending that there is nothing wrong, thay need to look at it from all sides and in this show they mainly do that. This is why it is so popular and i agree it is top...Read full review »

The patchy quality of the panel members being grilled makes each episode unforgettable. The range of attitudes of the panel members and the deft direction by Tony keeps the interest in each topic strong.

Please watch this vodcast. It will give your brain some exercise and offer alternative viewpoints. If your opinion can't withstand thoughtful, neutral analysis, then maybe it needs to be reviewed. This program should be compulsory viewing for middle high-school and upwards.
