My 14y/o daughter recommended Queer as Fact as she got to it via her love of the Patroclus and Achilles myth as well as her love of history podcasts and it hasn’t disappointed whatsoever. As a 50 year old I thought the Dungeons and Dragons and the Nightmare on Elm Street eps were absolutely...Read full review »

It’s all in the title; this podcast manages to be hilarious, sincere, thought provoking, interesting, and informative all at once. It is also dangerously close to becoming my newest hyperfixtation. I love the stories just as much as I love the hosts and their welcoming attitude. They’re all...Read full review »

Really loving these episodes! They’re super thoughtful. The perspectives on Priscilla, Queen of the Desert were fabulous, and helped me articulate why, as a closeted and oblivious queer/ace kid, I really appreciated this movie and the stories it told.

I have learnt so much queer history and general world history listening to this podcast. Each episode is well researched and it is interesting to hear historians discuss sources and what can and can’t be known about historical events and figures. Plus, it is really fun and entertaining to listen to!

When I stumbled on Queer As Fact in June 2022, the first thing that grabbed me was Alice’s laugh - a genuine, silly laugh, not unlike mine. I was also impressed by the thoughtful way the hosts listened to and disagreed with each other. But, as a librarian and occasional scholar of history, it was...Read full review »

Just amazing! Fills the void of queer history in a genuinely scholarly manner. Worth listening to if you’re at all interested in queerness or history. Also, as an English student, invaluable for understanding authors not just through a queer lens, but an incredibly detailed biographical one.
