When I opened the door I saw several men in white coats and guessed that they were scientists. Some scientists say that there might be other realities out there. Maybe there’s another version of me out there working as a professional soccer manager in a subtly different universe. Perhaps he has a slightly different name. Perhaps he played for a different club. Perhaps Mulcaster United don’t even exist in his reality. Perhaps he never won the European cup. Who knows? Don’t ask me, I’m just a simple football man with a few GCSEs, not a theoretical physicist. One of the scientists turned to look at me and I saw that he was holding a gun.”
