Used to be good
The recent emphasis on culture and politics and such instead of science themes doesn’t work for me. Also...the Jad and Robert dynamic was great. Not so much with the new producers. Latif Nasser is just awful to listen to. He doesn't tell a well paced story, he is smug, naive, embarassingly and artificially grandiose, and his voice is annoying. It is clear after listening to the 2020 episodes that Robert was the only adult in the room. This show now sounds like a bunch of 20 year olds who bought microphones on amazon and have nothing interesting to say, and have no literary or scientific or reporting talent. It's like, sort of, like, wait are we, like recording? lol. Umm, you will hear a better researched and narrated story by talking to literally anybody you know.Read full review »
