Wow.
I love hearing business stories, especially from women founders/CEO's (this also includes Alli's story). While I am not a budding entrepreneur (such an overused word now), I can take away ideas/mindsets/work ethics and apply it to my work life. That being said, I find this podcast hard to listen to. Clearly, Alli and Michael are very enthusiastic about starting businesses and want to share their knowledge and they certainly come off like they really KNOW IT ALL. They should maybe start a consulting firm? I find Alli to be very rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I found her to be very rude and dissmissive to the founders of Sugar Paper and Nekter. I mean her reaction of (and I'm paraphrasing) "OMG, who writes things?! Who uses a planner?! What?!" And instead of listening to their story, she kept offering unsolicited advice on how to to make their (Sugar Paper) business "bigger and better." And the CEO of Nekter, she berated him about not having LA locations, why they don't have drive-thrus...I'm not an easily offended person but I am immediately turned off by rudeness and disrespect. If you're not going to do just the basic research on your guests and their businesses, you're just going to come off as an ignorant fool.
