“UPDATE: 5 episodes complete (although they list two episodes as #4, that’s the level of professionalism on display here) and the propaganda is worse than I thought. Their argument seems to vacillate between “innocent people were killed in a firefight” and “yeah, Blackwater killed innocent folks, but it was really only one guy.” The lies, omission, and contradictions run deep in this podcast, and if you’re looking to get an idea of what happened, you’re not going to find it here. I know because I was there, less than a mile away from Nisour Square on that day. I was the officer in charge of coordinating US and Iraqi forces in the district. The makers of this podcast haven’t contacted me - and haven’t spoken to anyone in uniform that day, come to think of it - and they won’t, because what I know to be true doesn’t fit with their agenda.
This podcast is truly nothing but propaganda.
Three episodes in, this podcast is nothing but propaganda and spin. They’ve spent more time talking about 9/11 than they have talking about what happened in Nisour Square. I’m open to have my mind changed about the people who killed all those innocent Iraqis, but right now the only thing this podcast is doing is reinforcing my belief that the jury got it right.”
