A thoroughly researched and interesting podcast that mixes history (for context) and literature.

What a wonderfully researched and produced podcast. The host has obviously thought deeply about the books and themes and each episode is filled with not only information, but a clear love and interest in the topics. Highly recommended.

If you’re new to and interested in Japanese literature, this is a great pod to start with. It’s balanced, well-paced, thorough without being too detailed, and it gives enough of an overview to awaken the listener’s interest in the texts without spoiling a new reading experience.
