“Some episodes were interesting enough. The problem is not the ability of the hosts to put together an educated analysis but the fact that their personal biases and egos get in the way. Laura has effectively turned every topic into the vilification of men based on spurious theories. For example in the episode about ‘Kidnapped in Plain Sight’ where Laura states that all male psychologists don’t care about the treatment of paedophiles because they’re in on some sort of male conspiracy. It’s just plainly farcical and actually detracts from moderate, reasonable feminist gripes. She interjects with these personal biases and opinions so often you could probably label this podcast ‘The Why Men are Evil’ podcast. As for Jim, he is so overly opinionated, subjective and emotional. Literally yelling at the microphone where it is not at all needed. We get it. You’re an American. Now calm down and give me substance with an inside voice. He also suffers from biases resulting from emotion clouding his judgement. I can’t believe I have to say this but he has actually disregarded the background of subjects by just blurting out “they’re just evil”, even thought they have a massive effect in nature vs nurture. This guy used to be an FBI PROFILER. I fear for the future of law enforcement if his fatuous opinions are representational of it.
Lastly Lisa, she actually says more common sense than either of the other hosts and yet is talked over and put down. I tell you what. This podcast is evidence that having a degree doesn’t make you a reasonable critical thinker. Lisa is the control group in this experiment and her treatment is the result.
You people are adults. Act like it.
Disappointing.”
