“Dear Tony and Ashley, as a recent listener to this podcast, I heard a guest on the show describe how she acquired a AirBnB in Georgia. She mentions using a second home loan (10% down) as well as using a property manager full-time. This is NOT a correct way to use a second home loan or claim second home benefits. This is occupancy FRAUD. Please let your audience members know that. 1/ A second home should usually be within a certain distance from one's primary residence (guest's residence is in Colorado and not Georgia). 2/ Cannot be run by a property management company (she is using a full-time PM) 3/ Rental periods are typically limited because the second home is suppose to be used by the owner. (The guest clearly expressed her intent to use it as an investment property) Please call this out or clarify this if this is a misunderstanding otherwise you're misleading your audience who trusts you.”Read full review »
