What could have been an interesting 80s slasher is actually a pretty tedious 2000s GrimGore™ slog, as me and Martin Dunlop look at 2007's Brutal. Deeply strange music choices, a very convoluted deux ex machina and a town in Nowhere, USA- Brutal has it all for your early-oughts horror needs. And Jeff has a new hat!  

One of the more divisive episodes, evidently! Me and writer Jeremy Herbert have quite different opinions about this episode's movie, 2012's Would You Rather, featuring Jeff in 'dapper, refined sadist' mode. But hey, we all love a bit of healthy debate here at Camp Re-Animates. We also dig into a special After Dark version of that IMDB game I still don't have a name for- Re-Animates gets blue!

It's a Creature Feature! Me and Nick Mason (The Weekly Planet) check out "A Quartet of Creatures", S1/E3 of Ultraman- a show that is NOT Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. There's a lot of bad costumes and fight scenes but more importantly there's a lot of Jeff! We also look at the monster mid-life crisis, gross trivia games and why on Earth this show exists in the first place.

It's Springtime for Hitler, as me and Ben Volchok dig into Snide and Prejudice (1997), a film about a man who think he is the Fuhrer. It's not as grim a time as you think but it's no knee-slapper, either. It's a weird one! Plus: some IMPECCABLE Matthew McConaughey impressions (sorry) and lots of singing (not sorry).

Leap through your nearest plate-glass window and listen to me and Cara (Cruisin' for a Reviewsin' podcast) chat about fun action-comedy Felony (1994)! Jeff teams up with some old mates, does a lot of cool stunts and even has a romance! We talk about bugs, Nic Cage and the greatest podcast crossover of all.

Ben Nichols joins me for the gooey, sexy, monstery but very pretty From Beyond (1986)! One of Jeff's classic roles, it seems him team up with heaps of familiar friends from Re-Animator to make the moist and mind-bending masterpiece. Emily Intravia (The Feminine Critique podcast) joins me for the spooky, sleepy, slightly icky Parasomnia (2008). Writer/Trekker Andy Webb joins me to ~liquidate~ "The Magnificent Ferengi", Season 6/Episode 10 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and one of Jeffrey Combs' most beloved Trek characters- Brunt! We also take a look at Combs' journey with the Star Trek franchise and why Avery Brooks just needs a sit down once in a while.

Tom McLean (Not Good Enough podcast) joins me for the very gooey and very 90s The Guyver (1991)! We explore rad effects guy Screaming Mad George in his directing debut, 90s rap and how best to show up to Heaven. Plus the return of "The Game I Don't Have A Name For Yet!"
