Hey Winner, When social media marketing started, Faith Hanan was all over that and poured so much time and effort into it, only to realize that she couldn’t sustainably do that and maintain the type of boundaries and presence that she wanted for herself and her family. So she took those same skills that she was using on social media and poured them into sustainable marketing in terms of SEO content. And that’s why today I wanted her to come on the show to share more about how we can do SEO...

Hey Winner, In Nehemiah 6, those opposed to the wall did everything they could to get Nehemiah to stop the project. And the enemy does the same thing to us in our own projects. First, he'll try to destroy us. If he can't destroy us, he'll try to distract us. If he can't distract us, he'll try to discourage us. And if he can't discourage us, he'll try to deceive us. How do we discern the enemy's tricks and stay obedient to the work God has called us to do? Rooting for you ~ Gabe   CONNECT WITH...

Hey Winner, Do you ever question the dreams you have or the goals you're pursuing? Do you wonder if they're really God-given or if you just think you're supposed to do them? Do you get weary as you go through the motions? Do you wish you knew that you were working in your calling? Dreaming is a God-given blessing! He wants us to dream. He wants us to have a purpose. He wants to use us to build the kingdom even larger! God wants to resurrect a dream that's been squashed in your life. Proverbs...

Hey Winner, In Nehemiah 5 we notice that the Jews become discouraged once again and our struggling to build the wall of Jerusalem. They know the wall is for their own good and protection, but they're struggling to make means meet in the meantime. They're mortgaging their fields and even selling their kids to slavery to pay the debts they owed. The poor were being oppressed and charged exorbitant amounts o interest, which was, mind you, forbidden by the law of that time. This led to more...

Hey Winner, At the peak of his career in the automotive industry, Rich had to give it up due to chronic health challenges, and it left him wondering, "What's next?" He wants to make an impact with the gifts God has given him. He’s feeling the nudge to make waves in the car and homesteading industries, but he was struggling to catch the vision for where to go first. What were the biggest challenges standing in the way of his biggest goals? How did he get unstuck and create a plan of action...

Hey Winner, What do you do when opposition comes your way? You are on the path you wholeheartedly believe God wants you on, but it seems every way you turn, you come up against a stumbling block or some type of distraction trying to get you to stop. In Nehemiah 4:1-6, the Israelites came up against opposition as they were working on the wall. And two things happened that I want to talk about today: 1) Rather than complaining or gossiping, Nehemiah prayed and 2) the Israelites responded by...

Hey Winner, Christy has big dreams for her business growth, but it didn’t start out that way. It started as a smaller virtual assistant business where she took her 30+ years of experience and started helping business owners get organized online. Her vision has expanded way beyond being a solopreneur into how she can scale and help even more businesses out than she could on her own, and now she has a business and goals strategy to do just that. What were the biggest challenges standing in the...

Hey Winner, Nehemiah 3 teaches us about community. It's about people from all walks of life coming together to begin building the wall to rebuild Jerusalem. When you look deeper in the chapter, you notice three things: There were no carpenters or professional wall builders in the mix These were ordinary people from every walk of life God always uses people that are willing, not experts This chapter reminds us that we, too, are a part of a community of faith. Let's talk about it! Rooting...

Hey Winner, Why does a clear vision matter, and how do we uncover and define our unique passions and purpose? How do we catch the vision God wants us to have, and how do we know that’s the one? What does goals God’s way actually mean?  If you have any of these questions, then you’re in the right place because today we’ll chat about: The significance of having a vision for your life and goals We’ll share stories of others who have been driven by a powerful vision and made a difference in the...

Hey Winner, Once Nehemiah got approval from the king to leave and go rebuilt Jerusalem's walls, he came up against other oppositions of enemies who didn't want him to be successful, but also opposition from God's people themselves because they were so discouraged and weary already. He had to remind them of who they were and encourage them to join him in the work. This wasn't an easy task, but it shows the kind of leader God made Nehemiah to be, and we can learn some things through this part...

Hey Winner, Perfectionism is one thing that really prevents us from moving forward with our goals or with our businesses. It can stop us in our tracks and become an excuse for why we haven’t really truly made the effort to achieve our goals.  Do it imperfectly. Done is better than perfect.  Heard these things before? BUT… how? We need to illuminate the lies we’re believing underneath the perfectionism we’re displaying, we need to get to the root, so that we can overcome this stronghold in our...

Hey Winner, We are called to pray fervently, and God is and will be working in the background, but we have a role to play too. Waiting is an action verb. In waiting for the Lord's answers or the, "Yes, go!" we can be planning what the next steps are, and, along the way, God will confirm them (or change them). We need to be in motion for God to move us in the direction he wants us to go. Fervent prayer + proper planning + getting in motion where you are now + being attentive and flexible =...

Hey Winner, Before Nehemiah went to the king and gave his request to leave to help God's people, he prayed and fasted for four months. I've been meditating on this for how we are so rushed and wanting answers quickly, but God is patient and wants us to trust Him and to come to him in prayer. Not just once, but fervently. What does that mean for us and our goals? How can we model after Nehemiah in his prayers and planning? Let's talk about it! Rooting for you ~ Gabe   CONNECT WITH...

Hey Winner, I had a student ask me a really good question the other day, and it made me take a step back and to think again about why I'm doing what I'm doing. He asked, "I know that in your podcast you talk about the importance of your kids seeing you win. I also know that in Finish Line Goals you talk about the Boston Marathon. I wonder what your next goals are now that you have already been winning with your business, your kids are getting older, and you already ran the Boston Marathon? So...

Hey Winner, Ann Hair has many dreams, but she was having a hard time putting them all together and breaking them down into a strategic plan that seemed doable for her in the season of life she’s in. She loves all things simple, and what she wanted most is someone to help her create a simple strategy so that she could work on her goals AND make progress toward them.  Ann’s first breakthrough came after downloading AND using my free Game Plan Workbook (which I’ll link in the show notes for you...

Hey Winner, As purpose-driven mamas, one of our roles is to help our kids see what it means to set a goal, put a plan together, and take action on it even with the bumps along the way. Being the model for our kids in how to dream and set goals is a huge reason that can turn our doubts, mom guilt, lack of confidence into something God can use! Let's talk about raising big dreamers and why our kids NEED to see us win. Rooting for you ~ Gabe   LINKS MENTIONED IN EPISODE: Polly's website:...

Hey Winner, You know the saying, "New Year New Me?" It can be fun to come up with all these ideas of what changing can do for us... but unless we're willing to actually create a plan and habits around them that actually fit into our lifestyle, we'll just quit on our "new me" aspirations. So, in light of that, I want to share with you three things I'm NOT changing this year. And, unless God tells me to change these things, it's not happening. Want to know what they are? Tune in to...

Hey Winner, It's time to wrap up this slow down series, but I hope that it's encouarged you to look at ways for you to eliminate hurry from your own life. Here's a quote I loved from the book. John Mark said, "Our time is our life and our attention is the doorway to our hearts." Think about it for a little bit. Our time is our life... everything we choose to do takes time and is a piece of our life, right? And then our attention... what we choose to give our attention to is the doorway to our...

Hey Winner, Today is all about simplicity... the less we have in our schedule the more time we have for the simple things. The less stuff we have the less decisions we need to make or things we have to take care of or house that we have to clean. Simple living is about finding joy in the things that we do have but not just getting to get. It's not just about STUFF though. It's about our time & schedule. It's about distractions of the mind. It's about clearing space in all areas so we can...

Hey Winner, Today is all about the Sabbath rest. You may go, well that's an old testament regulation. We're in new testament times, I'm not into being legalistic... What if I told you that the Sabbath day is a gift from God? It's not really a regulation, more of a promise. Now, it is in the 10 commandments... and those are actually still good to follow. But it really is a promise. A promise of rest for our physical bodies and our souls. God rested on the seventh day of creation to model for...
