Comes off as hyperpartisan
So I am liberal, and CNN's news website is my No. 1 checked source for news. That being said, I downloaded this podcast expecting a balanced and intelligent conversation on today's media and politics. After playing five episodes produced in January 2018, I felt like I was listening to the typical hyperpartisan cable news commentator purposely trying to rile up the audience. (That could be because the audio is ripped straight from a CNN broadcast.) Unlike what you would hear on public radio, here the vocabulary is strong enough and to the point that I perceive bias and an anti-Trump agenda. And the interviewees seem to be on to confirm the host's viewpoint rather than offer an alternative perspective. If you want a podcast that takes a more intellectual and restrained approach to analyzing America's messy political situation, listen to NPR's "Fresh Air." For a well done show about the news media, check out WNYC's "On the Media."Read full review »

If I wanted partisan opinion pretending to be actual journalism I...Read full review »
