I was so excited then I heard the host’s voice. Effeminate high school kid voice, not interested in what he’s reading either. I checked a few other episodes and yea… he’s in the rest of them too

Episode suggestions: The tomb of Antiochus (Nemrut Dag) in Turkey. This story includes classic archeology, a still unearthed burial chamber and a kickass female archeologist.

Why would you ruin a potentially good podcast with numerous (failed) attempts to be funny? It makes it unlistenable.

Checking in daily for the next episode. Love the subjects and narrative. Please feel assured there are many like me. Hope all is well.

I have only listened to two podcasts and I find I can only listen to about half an ep before the random “jokes” and the speech pattern bothers me. I prefer something a little more like an audio only documentary. Good idea for a pod though.

Relic is one of my favourite podcasts. The research is great, the stories covered are always fascinating and almost always ones which haven’t been covered by every other historical mystery type show. The narration is witty and genuinely interesting and feels well informed. Thanks Maxwell!
