Came b/c of Josh and Chuck, but stayed for the amazing content! Sub if you haven’t yet.

I love this podcast, but please leave YOUR politics out of it!!! We don’t have to agree, but everyone should be respectful!

If I have to hear the exact same Fruit of The Loom commercial back to back one more time on your podcast, I’m going to stop listening. Seriously, it keeps happening and is incredibly annoying.

They have interesting subjects that they discuss and, for the most part, they are entertaining. However, the quantity and duration of the ads has become ridiculous. It is as bad as cable and in my opinion is untenable. The podcast conglomerates forcing antiquated ad practices is ruining the joy...Read full review »

I tried listening, but they kept talking about unrelated nonsense. I don’t care what clothes you’re wearing and what t-shirts you own.

Boring content, further ruined by Ben. Hey Ben, find another career, hosting podcasts is not in your wheelhouse, sorry.

Completely get that shows need to make money, nothing wrong with that, but in terms of the amount of ads a show carries, this podcast gets the balance totally wrong. Way too many ads get in the way of the show itself. Disappointing.

It’s a fun show exactly what the title states. Follow a lot of the HSW guys and this show is good as well. Fun topics and interesting. Well researched! Been listening for a few years. Have even seen the dudes live. I especially think Ben is my fave host. Excited to see what’s next for the series.

Mildly funny, some good information, but the hosts are uninformed about a lot of things and speculate like high school kids who watched the movie and read the Cliff Notes.

Love the show but don’t need to hear your politics…telling people to vote no on the Newsom recall.
97ramsst via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/27/21
These guys really just said that we shouldn’t recall Gavin Newsom. I don’t listen to this podcast for the political leanings of these guys. I listen to hear the strange aspects of history that school doesn’t teach you. But what can you really learn (or trust) from people who believe that the man...Read full review »

The colorful language in your dumb criminals episode was off- putting. Just so you know, I have been an avid listener for at least five years. I just don’t remember dormitory language being part of your thing. I know you can do better.

When I was younger I really didn’t like history except for 2 classes with exceptional teachers. Now I realize that it isn’t the subject I disliked but the presentation. These guys are wonderful! No one is complaining that you have ads, people are mad that you are lying in your Endorsements. Blank Phone Company believes you should get good ads or go away!!! 0 stars!!! If you enjoy history and also love hearing 3 back to back fruit of the loom commercials this show is for you. I kid you not, 1 episode had one at the beginning, 3 in a row a few minutes in, and more at the end. It’s great if you are a fan of fruit of the loom.

I really don’t like history, like at all (but it’s not as bad as math) but my mom listened to this in the car and I was like,”What’s the name of this podcast?!” This made me LIKE learning history! I’d totally suggest this podcast, Not recommend for sleep though. That’s it…

Really enjoyed the latest ep where Noel describes a super remote Cambodian village in the 60’s, absolutely vetted and verified, practice of empowering a woman’s choice of ‘Love Hut’ as opposed to what it would be literally anywhere else in the world at that time. Man that Cambodian village. Wow...Read full review »

Much like Chuck & Josh, Ben & Noel have mastered the art of veering off topic just enough to be interesting (and even charming) without it becoming an annoyance. I love the structure of their shows. They both have nice syrupy smooth voices too, which sure doesn’t hurt. Recommend, highly,...Read full review »

This pod has introduced me to some neat facts, but I don’t think it’s worth a full listen. A lot of episodes are basically curated Pocket articles where it feels like all the info comes from one source. Ben and Noel’s comments are often entertaining, but often biased and historically inaccurate....Read full review »

I have been listening for years and I am so grateful for all three hosts and the fun and knowledge they bring! Glad to see you back on YouTube!

Not even 18 minutes in and it’s the 3rd advertisement break, and the ads are loud and obnoxious. If each break is 1 minute long then this podcast is 16% obnoxious advertisements. I don’t know if the trend continues because I turned it off and won’t be tuning back in.

I am a huge history buff, however I still learns lots from the show. I love it and I am always excited when a new episode drops!

Listened to one episode on Henry the sixth and then they lost me. I tried listening to one episode and I couldn’t even come close to finishing it. It was incredibly long winded and boring and they wouldn’t get to the point, the whole thing was just endless buildup and the history they talked abt wasn’t weird or interesting or even remotely fun to listen to.

This podcast is interesting information. A little too much side chatter/laughing/scheduling for my taste but I can get past that. What bothers me though is the strange audio; Music in unusual places, strange and necessary sound effects. It distracted me from what the speaker was saying
