This is a great resource for interviews with academics who don’t have many other interviews
This is a fantastic podcast. The best thing about it is that it gives us general, wide-ranging interviews with academics that would otherwise not have been interviewed. For example, Bas Van Frassen is a giant in his own field, but there are very few interviews with him. I hope this podcast will continue for a long time, so we can all benefit from these discussions with philosophers and scientists who are at the centre of their fields. There is an understandable tendency in popular science/philosophy to amplify the ideas of people who spend much of their time working on how to present ideas to the public. This podcast is a valuable attempt to expose us to people who are expert in their areas of research, regardless of their public profile or experience with public engagement. This is a niche that badly needs filling, and I am happy that this podcast is doing that.

Very versatile show, I especially enjoy the philosophy episodes. The host brings a unique perspective into interviewing and conversing with acclaimed academics. I specifically recommend the episode with David Albert and Justin’s Clarke-Doane.

Robinson is an excellent podcast host who clearly does his research so each episode seems full of information and engaging. He’s a delightful host who asks good questions, listens carefully to guests’ responses, and guides the conversations to be informative and understandable for most listeners.

Very interesting… I wish more podcasts were like this: discussions with actual experts just to discuss and understand. Embrace intellectual humility when dealing with theoretical issues, and be fine with it.
