Robinson is a fantastic host who has the rare ability to ask deep, thoughtful questions while giving his guests plenty of room to air out their ideas. Unlike other podcast hosts, it feels like he doesn’t have an agenda or ego, he simply wants to get to the truth of whatever is being discussed....Read full review »

Best guests + best discussion = best podcast. The math checks out!

Robinson’s podcast and Sean Carroll’s Mindscape are my two essential science podcasts. I never miss an episode. Batsy’s owner.

Robinson's podcast has really found a unique niche - the presentation of detailed discussions on a range of fascinating issues, with an attentive and highly-informed host who gives guests the space to fully lay out their ideas. Many skilled guests return for multiple episodes, and are often...Read full review »

This is a fantastic podcast. The best thing about it is that it gives us general, wide-ranging interviews with academics that would otherwise not have been interviewed. For example, Bas Van Frassen is a giant in his own field, but there are very few interviews with him. I hope this podcast will...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to podcasts for a decade or more now but have never actually reviewed one previously. But this has quietly grown into a must-listen for me and I’ve enjoyed digging back into the archive and listening to old episodes. I am reviewing primarily because I want to keep listening...Read full review »

My love language is choosing the perfect episode to share with each person in my life to introduce them to Robinson’s Podcast. Covering such a wide range of subjects on one show creates threads of (unexpected) connection and a sense of cohesion. Really incredible stuff, thank you.

The first time I listened to this (because of a link from a guest) I was unimpressed. But, boy, was I wrong! This is one of the best “intellectual” podcasts you’ll find. I put that word in quotes because there’s nothing pretentious about Robinson’s podcast, but the topics are all challenging for...Read full review »

I wish more podcasts were like this — discussions with actual experts just to discuss and understand, not to argue.

I was completely blown away by the philosophical depth of her theory of causal sets. Her understanding of the living present as the process of generation of spacetime is surprising and original--yet redolent of the perennial tradition in philosophy that contemporary physicists tend to scorn. The...Read full review »

I have yet to see someone steer conversations as well as Robinson. He is careful to ask the right questions in the right order — topics always seem to flow together logically. Everything he asks demonstrates intent and interest, even if he’s less familiar with the subject. Furthermore, he is...Read full review »

Robinson is an excellent podcast host who clearly does his research so each episode seems full of information and engaging. He’s a delightful host who asks good questions, listens carefully to guests’ responses, and guides the conversations to be informative and understandable for most listeners.

The guests are outstanding researchers in their fields, and Robinson does an awesome job asking good questions and letting the guests explain their work. Probably my favorite podcast right now.

David Albert recently put out a new book, and it’d be awesome if you guys can talk about that book at length, 3 hours or longer

I love the mix of really interesting topics and scholarly guests with the low production value and the cat that frequently hangs out. It’s dense but understandable and the host has a lot of natural charisma. If you like topics such as cosmology, physics, history, and philosophy you should give...Read full review »

I really enjoy Robinson’s podcast. Robinson provides the perfect platform for his guests (all of whom are intellectual giants) to explore deep and wide ranging topics. It’s obvious from the questions he asks, and the time he gives his guests, that Robinson prepares for each subject and has a keen...Read full review »

Listen to a lot of podcasts: Sam harris, Sean Carroll, Coleman Hughes, Bill Maher, e.g. This podcast has been a great addition. Not your typical podcast. Little to no editing. Little to no fluff. Just interesting and (majorly) thought-provoking stuff. Sometimes pretty dense stuff, but usually not overwhelmingly so. Also, absolutely the best podcast guests. And great questioning by the host.

Rich, thought-provoking conversations with academics from a variety of disciplines. I learn a lot from each episode.

Very versatile show, I especially enjoy the philosophy episodes. The host brings a unique perspective into interviewing and conversing with acclaimed academics. I specifically recommend the episode with David Albert and Justin’s Clarke-Doane.
