They could have used fictional places...
My biggest issue is that I’m a Virginia local and spend a lot of time in the area in question. I don’t mind fiction but actually falsifying history. Swananoa is an actual real place and it wasn’t built by an eccentric who didn’t have a wife, it was built by Mr. Dooley for Mrs. Dooley of Maymont in Richmond. It is a beautiful story and a beautiful place.

I’ve listened to two episode. The dialogue is poor and the acting is worse. The narrator was supposed to be a journalist but she openly mocked her interviewees and came off as an elitist. The writer preached most of the time instead of telling a story.
