Suspense, Humor, and Quality
Update—these dumb criticisms that the show is “fiction” and “scripted” and “made by kids”...well, yeah. Get a life and Wikipedia the term “realistic fiction,” cuz you need both. A blend of true crime, classic suspense, and humor with allusions to American folklore and a wink at modern times, Rockfish Gap is the escape we need right now. The quality is professional, the pacing is airtight, and the characters are grounded and multi-demensional. The fact that it’s made by kids means it doesn’t have that awful, adults-trying-to-be-hip dialogue problem. What is the White House in the Woods? What did Aaron know that we can only guess at? What’s the connection between the mystical 1919 flu cure and the mysterious disappearances of these kids? I’m hooked!

On my 3rd episode and its alright but sounds very scripted. As someone else said, like they’re reading off a piece of paper. Makes it hard to really get into it. Will continue to listen.

The story line has potential to be great, but this god awful voice acting has ruined it. It feels like I’m listening to a cold read of a script from a high school theater class...
