Historia Augusta for our times
Really enjoyable insights into each of the Roman emperors. Properly researched and structured, with side commentary on each that brings life and personality to characters of the episodes, from the dynasties themselves, to the ordinary Roman legionary. I’ve listening to them on long runs as I train for marathons. More than once I’ve had people stare at me as I burst out laughing while continuing on my run, whether to the latest of Geoff and his clan, or the latest missive from Roger. The crisis of the third century had its somewhat true, partially clear made up text, that we’ve had to rely on. Will Rob and Jamie’s thoughts be what remains one day? I’ve just listened up to the fall in the West, looking forward to the knockout rounds, and to all of season two as it continues in the East!

Totalus Rankium is a light hearted series of mini-biographies...Read full review »
