“I really want to continue listening to the story but I had to turn it off. I spent many many months watching my dad have machines breathe for him and watch him wince in pain when the respitory therapist would come clean out the mucus from his breathing tubes. The helpless panicky feeling that I can't do anything but desperately wanted to came rushing back while listening to the first episode of this podcast. I unconsciously was holding my breath while hearing those very distinct gurgles. I'd love to keep following this story but the unmistakeable background sounds are too much.
