A podcast befitting the great Rough Trade store culture and community. 00s episodes to get your ears into and absolutely something for everyone.

The interviewer feels it necessary to answer all of her own dull, unimaginative questioning, during her delivery. Episodes are completely reliant on the way the band receive this awful investigative style. Great choice of bands, dire show presentation...

The show has an enthusiastic host and is a nice way to keep up with new releases. Typical format of reviews plus an interview really works!

A great way to discover new bands from an amazing label. Emily is a great presenter and interviewer. Very knowledgeable and informative.

For me the new format is too much talking and not enough music. I loved the old show.

Very matey and chummy music review podcast where tastefully chosen songs are tastefully chosen in a politely tasteful way. Yay.

previously a fan but new format means that you can’t really listen during your commute or while doing something else, you’d have to look up the songs to hear more than 30secs of them

Loving the new Edit podcast and Edit playlist - a great split between a chat podcast and a music playlist - the two work really well together!

Loved the original podcast where about 10 songs were played with chat and an interview occasionally. Now we get a few snippets and all chat. There is a link to hear the tracks in full but you need to pay apple money to listen so... no unsubscribing to what was a useful podcast to check out new...Read full review »

I’ve loved the podcast for its duration but am finding the new, shorter snippets of music and the promise of more on Apple Music simply irksome. I don’t want to sign up to Apple Music and I like the opportunity to listen to tracks a few times (often over a few weeks) before opting to buy. I have...Read full review »

I’ve found this to be a brilliant resource for discovering new music. The best thing is that they play the tracks in full. There’s a couple of features I’m not mad about but overall it’s great!

It’s a brilliant and informative podcast, I tune in every week but please can you add the track listing back in to the episode blurb? It’s missing from the latest one. Thanks

Good representation of some quality new/old acts. Emily is a top host.

Great for music discovery, and endearing presenters. Personally I find the interviews can be a bit boring, though. I can understand why it's tempting to include guests since they have access to them, but a musicians off-the-cuff comments about their work isn't usually as interesting as...Read full review »

With the decline of the likes of NME and the rise of digital media it was about time someone filled the void with a decent magazine show - and this show fills the void perfectly. The features are fun and interesting, the music picks are brilliant (my record collection is rapidly growing with...Read full review »

As a long-standing exponent of music discovery about to enter their 43rd year I find this podcast a peculiar blend. Some features, such as Album of the Month, are a must listen, as is the music itself and many of the special features, but I have to be honest (and buck the review trend) to...Read full review »

Emily is a great host and shares fantastic new music every week in a non-preachy but knowledgable and impassioned way. This should be your first music podcast every week. A great listen on the commute to work. Highly recommended!

Rough trade radio- thanks for this weekly podcast. One of my favourites each week. Really like the weekly host - the bright, chatty girl (sorry don't know your name) and your reccomendations, interviews, albums of the month and the great balance you have between your hosting and the great...Read full review »

I really enjoy listening to these podcasts. In the shoplifting podcast it is interesting to hear the musical choices of the featured musicians. The album of the month podcast introduces new music I may not have otherwise heard. The podcast with Daniel Rachel about his book “Walls Come Tumbling...Read full review »

I absolutely love this..I listen to them own bed at night. It's a great way to unwind and I always play a game with myself to see if I could trump them with their choices..I think it was TOY who shoplifted Spiderland by Slint. That's one on my list if I didn't already have it.(twice) So...Read full review »

There are a lot of podcasts out there right now but RT seem to be doing it better than most. Decent mix of exclusives, opinion and of course, new music. On repeat for the foreseeable - keep it up!
