I’m really impressed with this podcast. It’s a fascinating story and so well told. I would’ve given it 5 stars if not for the short episodes!

A lot of time to convey very little info. Filter out the pointless sounds and repeat info and it’s a short listen. In the creator’s defense they are not journalists- that’s an understatement. It’s disjointed and you are left not knowing what is factual or evidence and what is rumor. It was...Read full review »

The podcast just abruptly ends. I feel like there should be a wrap up episode if there isn’t going to be anymore episodes on other cases. I did enjoy it and appreciate the amount of work it must take to produce.

I was hopeful and interested in the cases but it ended up being super annoying to have endless recaps and dramatic fillers, music, phone rings. That‘s all stuff that would usually be cut out and the only reason it‘s kept in this podcast is because there‘s no actual content or information...Read full review »

I tried so hard to like this but it’s obnoxiously slow and contains almost no actual information. It starts out as just the host and his wife speculating without providing ANY context or back story. I think it’s episode 3 that they finally shed some light with details of the case but still it’s...Read full review »

Considering the episodes are only 13-18 mins each there are way too many dead spots, repetition and long winded answering machine recordings. Maybe a struggle to find content?

Interesting story, however the episodes are so short and they have barely any pertinent information. It’s like each episode is setting up something big, but the something big never comes. And no, I don’t want to have to go to the website for all the information because that’s why I’m listening to...Read full review »

I have really enjoyed this podcast. It is riveting, however the episodes are way too short for me.
Tribogy via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/17/21
Each episode is short. Have heard four episodes already with nothing much at all shared. Lots of repetitive. Needs lots of improvement.

I am really picky about podcasts and don’t typically go for things with shorter episodes however I really liked this one. It was easy to listen to and I binged it while housecleaning. I really appreciate that this was a “normal” person telling us about something that interested them instead of...Read full review »

Try Someone Knows Something by CBC or Finding Cleo, instead of this. Those folks live and/or work on location for years. They are real journalists. This seems to be a dude and his wife with a lot of opinions and I wonders and maybes with editing and dramatic music. Maybe one good thing is that...Read full review »

Episodes are short with much music filler and time wasting. We spend a minute listening to phone tree systems. He has a nice voice but the editing is painful!
dno11 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/28/21
Kudos for bringing up the cold case but it could be condensed into a few longer episodes with less filler and more substance

I listen to lots of True Crime podcasts. I just finished listening to this from beginning to end. So many negative comments & ratings here. Yes, he’s not an experienced podcaster. Yes, he recaps. Yes, he has short episodes. Yes, he refers to “my wife” often. I think the fact that this case...Read full review »

I started listening and right away I could tell he was reading off a piece of paper. Sounded unnatural and painful to listen too. Woody and his wife need to do there research. Not just brainstorm and rattle what could haves and maybes. Reviews I read are accurate.

I dunno what is up with the audio and honestly I just couldn’t continue after I heard that horrible first commercial! I’ll give this another try maybe.

This podcast could be interesting, but the information is delivered poorly making it difficult to follow. Half the time I have no idea what this guy is talking about.

So so good. I love the interviews, the first episode of you and your wife travelling that route. You sound honest and kind with something so sad. Wish the episodes were longer and please do more ! You have a knack for this for sure. Much love from B.C 🇨🇦

I kept thinking that I must have missed episodes because a lot of information was left out. Has some interesting content but it is an obvious rip off of Payne Lindsey and the Up and Vanished podcast as far as narration style, sound and structure. So get your own ideas please. Because of this and the poor investigation here, it seems more of trying to cash in on a podcast than actually...Read full review »

I moved from Stafford to Orange County in 1997, near where this happened. I lived thru this horror. The episode mentioning Silva/Lisk murders brought me to shivers, I new the Silva family very well during that time. I hope this can be solved for everyone involved.
Trie Crime Addicted via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/13/20
This has potential but it’s basically like if my friend and I decided to just start speculating on old disappearances but no real investigation....kind of disappointing but good for them for taking the plunge into podcasting!
akhudson via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/23/20
Terrible story telling. They jump right in to the “investigation” like we’re all already familiar with it. The host is constantly telling us that he doesn’t know what he’s doing... I know what he’s doing, he’s managing to squeeze an entire “episode” out of every little thought he has about the...Read full review »

I absolutely commend you for what you are trying to do. I think you’re really on to something with that auto place and the 30 day tags. I’m glad you are feeling better and really looking forward to season 2! Great job! Let’s find this SOB!

The stories are fascinating but the delivery is not the best. The episodes are short and consist mostly of filler (music, recaps, phone dialing, etc)

During the site visit in the first episode, we get to hear the podcaster go to a drive-thru and order food. Why? Beats me. Maybe there's a reason for it, but I didn't get far enough to find out. The topic is super interesting and I became invested right away. But the episodes are so short and the first couple of minutes are recaps, plus ads, so it’s limited content. Here’s hoping the next season is a little better arranged with some longer episodes.
kestersk via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/21/19
Episodes are so short. 3 minutes of previous episode recaps and the intro, gets you about 8 minutes of content. Then a minute of what’s coming next. I’m on episode 7 and I’ve learned there was a credit card dropped, the stalker drove a black truck and the host is very proud of the name ‘route 29...Read full review »

They really tired to follow some of the more popular serial story telling/true crime podcasts. But, they didn’t get the elements in the right order. Starting the series off with a site visit has little to no value when the audience does not know even the basic details of the case, the victims, or...Read full review »

Could your wife possibly have a name? So archaic and dumb to keep referring to her as “my wife.” Had to stop listening.

I’ve listened to this all in one go. Beautifully and thoughtfully made, with time for the listener to reflect and digest, and being careful to explain the geography so that a Londoner can understand. Thank you. I hope progress can be made in this awful story.

Rounding up from 2.5 stars. Good story, high production quality, but lacks in content. This podcast had so much potential but it falls completely flat. It’s very obvious there was little research done beforehand and no thought put into how to tell these stories. Loving it! Can’t get enough! Even from half a world away in Sydney- I’m obsessed with this story. I should have read some reviews before I started listening. What a waste of time. I found myself at the end of an episode trying to rack my brain as to if there was a single piece of new information or if the entire episode was a recap.
kismetfarm22 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/08/19
Lots of recapping at the beginning and preview of the next episode at the end. This leaves 10-15 minutes of the actual story, when we’re not listening to the podcaster ordering at a drive thru or on the phone listening to a company phone system recording. The whole season could have been just an...Read full review »
