Very England biased
This pod has some good moments but generally a tough listen. The four regulars are incredibly biased towards England and don’t seem to be able to see it. In the most recent episode on Gatlands third test selection they called for George and Farrell in the starting team (even Johnny May) despite them offering no form for over a year. Jones often refers to the England team as ‘the golden generation’ despite them finishing 5th in the six nations and getting battered by SA in the RWC final. Danny Care argued that Marcus Smith would be preferable to Biggar by comparing biggars performance in the 2nd test to Smiths in the premiership final! Chris Jones also suggested that it should be compulsory that the lions coaches come from each nation (in response to the initial selection) - taking us back to the me dark old days of the 80s. These are isolated examples of a general theme which makes this the least balanced rugby pod of the lot. It’s only because it’s BBC that I keep getting drawn back. But I don’t recommend it.

Ugo's point was very valid - it was the least profile game of that weekend.) I was probably just...Read full review »
