Not actually a podcast about bigfoot, it's really not.
What started as a thoughtful podcast about bigfoot has turned into a weekly advert for the host's nascent filmmaking career. I write weekly and it did start out as a weekly show, but it has devolved from weekly to just a whenever the host gets around to it sort of schedule. There was a point at which the podcast was also being broadcast on the local radio station; which required a regular show time. I believe many podcasters would be pleased to be on broadcast radio and I can only suppose the host had sought out this exposure but he complained about the inconvenience repeatedly. Complaining about his show and the magic of his films/filmmaking process seem to be the only consistent parts of this show now. When this show was actually about sasquatch it was very interesting because the host professed to be skeptical about likelihood of sasquatch. This gave the show a unique perspective which is sorely needed. But all too soon the host seemed more annoyed at “having” to get a show out than appreciative of having a show. I understand that the original host will soon be leaving the podcast to devote himself to his film career and the co-host (and his son?) will be taking over. I’ve heard an episode that was just the co-host and his precocious kid; It was far too saccharine for my tastes. I’m an adult looking for an honest show about the field, a show that doesn’t credulously repeat every ridiculous, fantastical campfire story. The first 30 or so episodes of this podcast were exactly that; if anyone else can duplicate the “feel” of those early shows they’ll have a hit.Read full review »

Very informative. Heard tales and stories that appear to have skipped my radar.
