Good topic - Spent too long asking for money (in some older episodes)
Update: I realized I should check a more recent episode and see if they had fixed this asking for money problem and indeed the latest episode did not have this problem. Like many others I still feel as if the husband is more distracting/interrupting than contributing but glad that the constant ask for sponsorship is no longer happening. Original review: The topic of this podcast interests me but I couldn’t get through any episodes so I have just unfollowed it. It is very off putting when you first start to listen to a podcast to see if you like it and the podcasters spend ANY amount of time telling you to subscribe and/or become a patreon member at the beginning of the episode. You have to earn a “follow”, let alone get cash out of someone’s pocket in the form of patreon. There are a lot of podcasts out there and a good podcast sells itself. It is more appropriate and effective to quickly say at the end that if you liked this episode, consider following or donating through patreon for extra content. You aren’t going to get sponsorship with nagging. In the episode I just tried to listen to, there was a big sell up front for 6 min and then a break at 20 min to ask again for patreon sponsorship. The non begging chatter back and forth wasn’t too funny either from what little I could stomach so I would focus on interesting content and not banter as well. I took the time to write this review in case you wanted feedback so you can fix this because the idea and potential content is sound.
