“My go to show for a honest look at the science behind something.
By and large they seem to get things right, although a few times they've picked a researcher who didn't and therefore missed the boat on an important topic. They need someone on staff to look at the subject and consider what else could be causing that result, even when it seems clear to the researcher.
Some of the diet/nutrition studies talked about would have results identical or better for totally different diets, for instance. Many of today's 'best' diets are great because it means people aren't eating the other things, like junk food, fried food, and large amounts of sugar, not because they are on the ___ diet. The healthy user bias confounds the best of us. ;)
That being said, most of the time, they are spot on, lack obvious bias, and are full of common sense, which is refreshing, and makes it easy to share with my own clients and readers.
