“A unique podcast that features a lot of talking points not touched on by others. Great to hear the variety of opinions and appreciate the insight that Lauren and Nicky bring. A regular smattering of interviews with players, coaches balances the feed nicely.
But we do need to address the elephant in the room: did Gareth Rhys Owen manifest Wales’ loss to France this year? Professor emeritus of pessimism, his fear of and vanity over the potential penalty of a mullet clearly did more to derail Wales than any yellow cards or loss of composure. I’ve been stewing over this one for a while and I think it’s the only logical conclusion. Just like the time I forgot to wear my lucky socks and Wales lost to South Africa in the World Cup semis.
Sometimes I think Gareth is a man who could depress his own reflection but we Welsh can be a little glass half empty I suppose.
That said, Owen is an excellent interviewer. Not afraid of the difficult questions and typically avoiding the banal.
But please stop the embarrassing v sign nonsense. Every time you mention it, it elicits a curl-up-in-ball reaction in me usually reserved for cringe comedies. Stop it... please
Otherwise keep up the good work”
