This is a podcast I have come back to several times over and each time I am left in disbelief that Rachel’s disappearance has still not come to closure. We can only hope that in future she will be found and the perpetrators can be brought to justice for the sake of her family.

Huge fan, content, interviews, research was excellent. Why so short though? Also, would have been good to interrogate the accused’s Family in more depth. Audio-terrible. Loud adds, too quiet when ppl were speaking, loud background/theme music between. I was constantly turning the volume up and...Read full review »

Well produced and professionally delivered.

Those ads are LOUD and sudden. One second you are hearing a family member discussing their loved one and the next some lady is shouting at you about mattresses. Pretty disrespectful considering the subject matter.
Train badger via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 03/03/22
Unfortunately, the volume levels were all over the place, and loud background music and sound fx, frequently made it difficult to hear what people were saying. To the host: the second syllable of cadaver is pronounced “ah” as in bar. Also … “Korea Mail”? The low rating is due to the audio...Read full review »

Thank you for sharing such a sad true crime. Fingers crossed they search the tip

What a fantastic podcast! A great listen if you want to immerse yourself in something but not devote months of your life. It’s perfectly executed. Thank you for telling this story - I did not know it and I consider myself quite well-versed in Australian true-crime. Such a sad case, but hopefully...Read full review »

Thank you for bringing this story to our attention with your podcast. Hope it leads to that smoking gun and some important leads from the public. The evidence does seem overwhelming, I must say. Look forward to any updates on searches and new information.

I suppose the whole time your hoping there is someone else. Someone else who committed the repulsive murder. Keep listening.. but in the end you’ll agree common sense wins the day.

As a NQ local I found this very interesting. Great research and some angles I’d never heard before. I really hope Rachel’s family get some answers. As an aside, I was particularly interested to hear that the police officer who took the initial report of her disappearance was Mick Isles, who of...Read full review »

A well made and intriguing podcast!

Certainly not a slam dunk.......really don’t think the evidence proves Robert did it, but looks like podcast is following the police lead anyway. The coroner’s report is very much over reaching. Lots going on under the surface. Excellent listen......stretches the brain!

Enjoying the podcast but the sound quality is very poor!

It’s well put together and researched, plus it conveys the parents anguish and really makes you feel for them. My only criticism is that the sound is poor - so many of the interviews are very hard to hear
Stricklandstreet via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 11/11/18
The narrators voice is hard to understand as it is so quiet!
ausg27 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 11/09/18
But the episodes I have downloaded cut out increasingly so after episode three. You can hear the audio continue and then cut off completely.

This is captivating podcast about pieces of the crime that were not known. Heartbreaking at times.
BethA44 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/22/18
This was a really interesting and heartbreaking story told very well by the Courier Mail. It didn’t drag on like other true crime podcasts. My heart goes out to the family - I hope they find their daughter. I can see why the coroner came to their conclusion.

I listened to this podcast about a year ago and it still stays with me! It is excellent, highly recommended. I hope they solve this case one day.

Wasting 5 minutes at the beginning of every episode with previous information is very annoying

Good investigating and reporting but the sound production is poor - some of the recorded conversations, particularly of phone calls, should not have had back ground noise, music or chimes applied. It made it incredibly hard to hear and understand some of the interviews.

Well researched and they don’t take sides. But always searching for the truth. Can’t wait for more.
Ahapanda via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/11/18
I hope for the sake of her family that this gets solved so her family gets closure. RIP Rachel.

Enjoyable and the accent is easy to get used to with the exception of “The Courier Mail” sounds like “The Korean Maw” and took me a while to figure it out lol. Music is not overpowering as another reviewer mentioned.

I’m so pleased so much work is being done on this case. However, the audio quality is just so poor! It’s far too quiet and even the loudest volume of an iPhone is barely sufficient, which impacts where I can listen to it. Please fix this for future podcasts, C-M!!

Really interesting case, but the sound levels are all over the place and make the pod difficult to understand. I hope the family find Rachel.

A sad story. Your heart goes out to the family.

You can barely understand any of the recorded interviews due to the loud background music. It is not necessary, please stop the music. Not going to listne to any more episodes, what a shame.

Very interesting case! Did she ever tell her mom who she was going to the cinema with? Was there a friend left hanging?

One of the best true crime podcasts of the year. Well told and meticulously researched goes to the heart of the matter in a sensitive manner. Kudos to all involved.

Very interesting podcast but they need to dial down the background music player during interviews, audio quality of many of them isn't that great and music makes it very hard to hear and is distracting. But a good podcast in general.Read full review »
