I just finished a few episodes of Book 3 and wow, that is some great storytelling! The audio quality is very clean and the DM does a great job telling the story alongside the party. The stakes are high to keep the drama and tension up as the party seeks answers and a cure and having the party...Read full review »

From the individual character development to the secrets being learned it just keeps on being an edge of the seat nail-biting adventure. With the absolute luckiest of crits to the most inopportune crit fails, even the dice work to keep the story suspenceful. And then there is the cast of helpful...Read full review »

Love this podcast so much! The commrodery between the party members is obvious and makes for great rp and the world the DM has built for them to play in is real and complex. If you want D&D with a good chuckle and more crit fails than seem possible, look no further!

This show is brimming with personality! The whole cast brings a ton of energy to it and Arannis, Darvin, and Veil are a trio that works so well together! Such a good show! Love the setting that the DM has created, and I’m loving all the characters! Had a late start and am still working on catching up. Can’t wait, but I’ll be sad when I can’t binge a few episodes at a time!

I’ve binge since book 1 and caught up. Now I can’t wait for a new chapter every Thursday. From a great DM to his cast failing rolls, you just know it’s going to be a rolling and intriguing good time. So if you a love a monk vexing his bardic friend with bad drumming to a changling assassin then...Read full review »

This podcast is phenomenal. I don't know what else to say. Scott Blake brews a homebrew in a way that I haven't seen many do before. Between his elaborate world creatiion and the exciting stories of the players, I highly recommend this podcast. Each player brings a unique but wonderful...Read full review »

Darvin, Veil, and Arannis adventure through a fantastic world, having each others' backs (sometimes grudgingly) and facing a variety of original and creative dangers. The story is paced well and gives the players plenty of time to breathe and find their characters' voices and motivations...Read full review »

Scott describes Seasons of Skyrend as being 'a slow burn', and he's not kidding. There's a lot of APs that demand your attention, but almost none demand the intimacy of Skyrend. There is little in the way of recap, and there is a familiarity between the players that makes it...Read full review »

This group has really awesome chemistry, I love how the players really bring their characters to life. The setting is really great and the GM really brings everything alive. Everyone really shares in the story and makes it feel like you’re at the table too

An amazing AP podcast! I am very impressed with the originality of everything. A lot of podcasts do introduction episodes for each player, but I have never heard those episodes involve the other players before. A great idea! Very much looking forward to the next couple weeks as I listen to the...Read full review »

Seasons of Skyrend is a smooth and satisfying Actual Play experience. The DM and the players maintain an exciting momentum for the story, while still devoting time for fun character development. In addition to all of the fun, the DM is quite skilled at developing moments of tension. (Such as...Read full review »

In a world full of Actual Play podcasts that try to have some kind of twist, it's GREAT to have a podcast that's mostly just a straightforward game of D&D. And this group is amazing at playing D&D. Seasons Of Skyrend takes place in a world of their own creation which gives an interesting starting point for the adventures of our three mismatched heroes, as they gradually develop a shared respect through their adventures. The fun this group is having together really comes through! Even when things are going poorly for the characters, the GM makes sure to unspool those effects in an entertaining way so the players (and the listeners) are still invested. Great world building and descriptions from the GM as well.

From the moment the episode started, I was smiling. I was so shocked there are so few characters, but this does nothing to harm the product.
