Educational and entertaining! Armin is an acquired taste. But I have to give it to him for his passion! Where is Ali??!???!!

I love the podcast. However it seems like each person (both hosts and guest) is so eager to make their point that they don’t always listen to each other. There is a lot of interrupting and not a lot of conversational turn taking. But I do love the content.

I don’t know the name of the speakers but one of them seems to talk way too much with most of it being just repetition. Had to skip the entirety of his speech. The other dude though is much more concise and informed. Edit: the annoying dude is Armin. He talks way too much and doesn’t even let...Read full review »

Great podcast! Surprisingly very educational. It’s nice to learn about islam theology without religious bias. Of course the guests and ideas are great as well. My only tiny tiny criticism is that Ali and Armin tend to talk over each other, I understand why though

I’ve had to revise my 5-star review. Ali Rizvi had always been a foil to Armin Navabi’s superior knowledge and intellect. This has worked well with Islamic issues. However, in the recent discussion about riots and protests, Rizvi’s intellectual deficiency has exposed itself as a liability. He...Read full review »

These two honest and incredibly knowledgeable guys are fascinating to listen to. They’ve quadrupled my understanding of the Middle East and of Islam, in the latter of a few episodes. Their interaction is also priceless - very entertaining and at time hilarious.

armin very clearly lacks respect for cultures that he does not understand. He easily writes of anything not part of his narrative and impedes ali from making any intelligent points.

Love the podcast! I especially love the episodes that talk about politics in the mena region. It’s been really interesting to get Armin’s (and everyone he’s talking to) point of view on Iran. Can’t wait for more! An episode on Morocco sounds great.

Yasmine, Ali, Faisal and Armin share their unique views on religion, politics and current events as only former followers of Islam who are now Atheists can. It is a very refreshing viewpoint to hear and if you subscribe and listen I think you will enjoy it as much as I do. Update** The shows...Read full review »

As an Atheist I fundamentally reject dogmatic, authoritarian ideas. Try to listen impartially and come to your own conclusions. I may agree with their ideas in principle, but the closed minded / one sided manner they approach discussions I’m finding very distasteful.

I use to love listening to this when Yaz and Faisal were on, and continued to listen to it because they have really Interesting guests on the show. I first became aware of this podcast in mid-2018. Originally, I had read Ali Rizvi's Atheist Muslim and was intrigued by the book's content. It dove into the nuances that are sorely lacking across the political spectrum when it comes to dealing with the topic of Islam. I was pleasantly...Read full review »

I am Jewish and believe in Ha Shem - that makes me part of the Zionist conspiracy in league with atheists to kill babies. This podcast is the definition of a podcast that you should avoid. Absolutely garbage and their major goal is to make Islam look bad.
