“Security Now deserves all the praise it has received from various organizations that rate and recognize netcasts for the clarion (both editorially and technically) presentation of valid security concerns in computing. But it is not flawless as the podcast assumes the listener has eidetic knowledge of its back catalog where more frequent references to secondary explanations and/or other episode mentions would be very useful. This is a wonderful podcast once one gets up to speed on things. The Spinrite stories get a bit repetative and no amount of "here's an interesting case of" or "another happy customer" dressing can overcome this but I suppose it's a reasonable cost to pay, along with the money I plunked down for Spinrite. Despite this, Leo and Steve adroitly convey useful security information and the exigence of the topics is refreshing compared to more byzantine content in other tech channels refering to security concerns of which the NSA barely knows.”Read full review »
