“I want to love this podcast, but so much of it is unlistenable. The entire Fred Armisen episode is a prime example. The “far away from the mic pretending we’re not doing the podcast yet” bit is unlistenable from an audio quality standpoint and from a content standpoint. I can’t understand anything if I’m listening in my car and it’s just quite tedious.
Once the podcast gets rolling it’s usually pretty good and interesting but the first 10-20 minutes is sometimes just a total throwaway and it doesn’t make me want to keep listening.”
