Sure, great performers but when will these self indulgent, back slapping podcasts end. Oh you’re great! No, you’re better! I had a kid, oh really? Like no one ever does that. I can’t wait for this infatuation to end.

Years ago when I happened to see him grocery shopping in the Key Foods on Avenue A, I thought now there’s a guy who should have a podcast when they get invented. And now he does. You’re welcome.

I want to love this podcast, but so much of it is unlistenable. The entire Fred Armisen episode is a prime example. The “far away from the mic pretending we’re not doing the podcast yet” bit is unlistenable from an audio quality standpoint and from a content standpoint. I can’t understand...Read full review »

Take it from someone who listens to podcasts. This is 100% a podcast.

The one with his baby-wife was pretty good but I thought this would be more entertaining week to week.

Love me some David Cross but I’m waiting on that Russ Tamblyn episode 👀 ✈️🚾🤣

I love hearing David in this setting, speaking casually with friends, sometimes pure comedy (as with Odenkirk or Bateman) and sometimes just good conversation with no pressure to garner laughs. After briefly meeting him on tour, the guy is really genuine and that comes out in this podcast. I...Read full review »

Odenkirk killed it. I’ve re-listened to that episode quite a few times. Awesome show overall

Sorry, I want to like it, but his trying to turn skits out anything and not drop it just gets annoying.

Just listen to this episode. They seem like me and my wife. Sometimes I dress as David and make my wife dress as Amber. And we just talk.

I’ve always loved David’s stuff, and I recently got into pod casts. So this is….. nice..? Good job, Devon Crabs. Now to land a big fish! Maybe get to talkin to Al Pacino. Enough of these low hanging B-list “Odenkirks”

Odenkirk and Cross episode This is a delicious medley of simulated conversation bathed in improvisational talking and they seem to be going on tangents and seeing if they can derail each other. All other podcasts should be ashamed of themselves for trying so hard to have “meaningful discussions”...Read full review »

I love how this pod seems like a casual conversation between two old friends, who happen to have a lot of great stories. The one with Marc Maron in particular is outstanding.

I’ve gotten a lot of chaos escapism from your material over the years, I am thoroughly enjoying these conversations as well. Thank you.

Some of the stories are great but Cross loves to mix in random bits of improv that he encourages his guests to join. It works to some extent but they always go too long and sounds like a rehearsal, a first draft that’s not ready for an audience. He’s clearly having fun so the devoted David...Read full review »

Old Swerdlow up to his song storying. Everything is always art this and art that and what an artist. David Cross is entertaining, always has been, always will be. For those that want to be entertained, well, here you go.

This show stays on my list. David, you are very relaxed and allow the show to breathe.

It’s everything you would want to hear and expect from David’s podcast. Enjoyed all the episodes so far, and look forward to many more!

David listens to his guests and doesn’t talk over them. That makes a huge difference for listeners (at least, this listener). He’s so funny and irreverent, with great stories, but he’s also gentle. A good person. One of my new favorite podcasts.

Mountains of David content all in one place makes for easy model generation. Just listened to the Jason Bateman episode (sorry bob) and loved it! 100% Adding this to my weekly listenings to include one more celebrity that I can steal jokes and personality from.

I don’t often write a review for a podcast, but having some of my favorite comedians riff for an hour is all I’ve ever wanted.

Heard David was releasing a podcast a few months ago though another interview he did and couldn’t wait until it came out. Literally scoured all podcasts related to David cross and glad I don’t have to do it anymore. Been a long time fan and glad this is here.

Such a funny and entertaining podcast. A little off-kilter and you have to have a brain to appreciate. If you’re a fan of David Cross you will get it.

As a long time listener from London, I enjoyed my first episode of this podcast today. I learnt much; that facts are mistruths, that all murders in shows are in fact, facts. And that a Zilot is likely derived from a German tent. “What more could I ask from Podcast?”, you ask? “Just a little more”...Read full review »

David, I’m such a huge fan. I’ve been a fan since... since... sorry the pandemic has skewed my sense of time, but I’m sure it’s at least been since last August, you know, 2023 I think. I listened to the first hour, and I couldn’t go any further. Bob was the first guest, and it felt like they had no chemistry for most of the conversation I listened to. Huge David Cross fan, I’ve been excited about this project for a couple of weeks. One episode in and I’m already so pleased. Riffing with funny interesting people, freeforming between “the real world” and hilarious nonsense in the deadpan DC way. Fantastic. Subscribe and ride with me friends.

The genius level of this fella is outstanding. Sure, everyone’s heard of that Bob whatshisname after those “award winning” shows… Silent waters run deep. That’s all I’m sayin’… I hope all the guests are into the absurdist humor… It’ll be a lot of fun, either way 🤟🏼

I mean, if you’re tired of the Smartless guys casually ripping on each other about how rich they are and how their lives aren’t like ours at all, then this is a comfy alternative. If you are listening to this, you don’t listen to smartless anyway.
