So the episode starts with saying that this is a commercial free episode sponsored by Will Trent. The very next thing is a full commercial for Will Trent. Then you pepper in nonsense about Will Trent randomly throughout the entire episode during the story. Commercial free where??? This is a...Read full review »

The recent episide that used a murder to promote a show on ABC is extremely disappointing. This show already demonstrates some issues with ethical true crime coverage, and this was the last straw for me. Drawing comparisons between an actual tragic murder and a fictional detective to promote a TV...Read full review »

Plugs for a crime drama throughout is not ideal and makes the pod sound amateur, which it is not.

The most recent podcast was a long, poorly thought out ad for an ABC show. Your stories are about real people suffering real trauma, and attempting to weave an advert into the entire thing is callous.

This podcast has really changed and not for the better. With Greg gone and only Vanessa still onboard, it’s become a hollow, by-the-numbers drone fest that manages to make even the more interesting cases seem processed and boring. Even worse was the more recent episode where Vanessa shills some...Read full review »

This show used to be good. It was always annoying to hear about how Vanessa isn’t qualified to make any psychological determinations, but β€œthey have done a lot of research for the show.” It’s almost unlistenable now with the shameless plugs of Will Trent peppered throughout the show. I won’t be...Read full review »

The episode I’m listening to is one that the host constantly interweaves commercials for some show, with a detective named Will, into the story. β€œJane keeps diary that includes how her dog is feeling…..i wonder if my new favourite detective Will does that?” Every 5-10 minutes or so. Good grief....Read full review »

I used to really love this show but it’s gone downhill since the new format. I’ve pretty much skipped the last 5 episodes as they are unappealing content wise and while I love Vanessa on her own I’ve started to tune out. Please go back to basics I miss this show

I’ve been listening to this show for 3 years just before bed everyday and I cannot begin to describe how fascinating it is. I love Greg and Vanessa’s delivery as well as the deep dive into the psychological aspects of the killers too. Absolutely love this show!

It took me a while to get used to, but I’ve really come to enjoy the narrators. I listen to a lot of similar podcasts, yet haven’t heard about many of the cases covered here. Good level of detail, a huge library to choose from, and they’re always respectful of victims and cultures. Nicely done!

Absolutely love this podcast and Vanessa’s voice is the icing on the cake. So easy to listen to a great content. Not a fan of when they had the guy Logan is it? On as his tense on words is strange. So I skip anything where Vanessa isn’t the sole host.

In the Barbie and Ken Murderers the episode was way too lenient on Karla. It reminded me of the movie β€œKarla” which is shown from Karla’s point of view. This episode was definitely just Karla’s version of the story
