I've enjoyed the podcast by this group of ex-Adventists. While I may not totally agree with some of their new beliefs (aka Atheism), I still enjoy what they have to say. Learned a few new things while laughing and agreeing with other points they are making. While they aren't making anymore...Read full review »

This is what I needed!!! I was brought up in church, hell... I am a PK! My father is the president for SDA conference in North America. I lost all my faith and finding people who understand my struggle coming out of church is just refreshing! Thanks for this!!!

I came here because they were reviewing CS Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet. One of them had read it decades ago, the other hadn't even bothered. Have you ever tried to listen to a review/analysis of a book that the speaker hasn't even read? Waste of time.

I have been listening to Mormon stories great podcast. I wondered if there was an SDA version of X members with perspective. This podcast is hilarious, introspective, thoughtful, and uplifting. Keep up the good work.

I think the best part of this podcast is that it never really gets too, well, "preachy" as other atheist podcasts/literature sometimes tends to do. This isn't a podcast to "convert" folks to atheism. But more of a podcast where former SDA/fundimentalists can sort of get together and talk it...Read full review »

I do hope and pray they let Christ back in their life and heart as their Lord. There isn't much time left.

I used to believe in the same stuff presented in this podcast. I hated the church, I was a thief, druggy, death metal vocalist, studied satanic literature, hated my parents, I was my god, and well, I had NO life in me.... I was dead... I was searching for real joy, real happiness. I was searching...Read full review »

My dear brothers and sisters we have to remember that God is love and if it is in his holy Bible it is for our benefit. Please examine your standpoint on Adventism and understand that it's a relationship with God and with his direction in the holy Scriptures that will get us to heaven.

The SDA church is made up of humans that are imperfect thus they will create imperfect Schools, Hospitals, and other church organizations. Ben Carson, (a man who was raised as an Adventist since early childhood) became one of the greatest Doctors of the twentieth century and is one of the leading...Read full review »

I grew up SDA and went to SDA schools through college. I eventually realized that I could choose my own beliefs that made sense to me. Now I'm an atheist and am a happier and better person. The only peoblem is I don't know anyone else like me. I have friends and family who are still SDA and...Read full review »

I grew up in the SDA church and as I listened, the memories came back. Some good and some, not so much but I still wanted more.

I just love this podcast. As an ex-evangelical, it's really a relief to hear the stories of others who understand the crazy...and best of all, understand that it IS crazy! The hosts of this podcast also set a good example for me, in that, despite the incredible damage that these self isolating...Read full review »

This podcast captures so many cringe-worthy moments from my youth. The conversational tone drew me in, and has made me feel more like this is a conversation. Good news, the beeping out of names ends early in the series. They don’t do that anymore. If you are a former SDA, you will find some real...Read full review »

I'm not ex-SDA, but I am an atheist. Admittedly I knew very little about SDA beliefs but I am not surprised at the crazy stuff which can be similar to other fundamentalists. Anyway, the discussions are funny and taken lightly. So serious dogma, but I guarantee several laughs per episode. Thanks...Read full review »

Not a SDA or even an ex one. But I dig this show :) You get the struggles of the separation of church and brain ;)

So much great info about growing up SDA and then later thinking your way out. I find myself nodding my head a lot when I listen to this show. I listen religiously every Saturday! ;)

All I knew about the Seventh Day Adventist chuch is they think Saturday was the right day for resting and that the church in Hollywood looks like a cruise ship at port near the exit of the 101 freeway. A good friend growing up became SDA and we grew apart and she had a strange affect that now...Read full review »

Sad
They just miss it. They are blaming humans for being humans, a church for being a church. They don't get what Jesus is all about, why the culture is the way it is. It's just really sad.

I just stopped listening to my first podcast episode because of a horribly irritating BEEP noise they use to censor out someone's name. I heard it about 5 times before I couldn't stand it anymore. It is WAY LOUDER than the volume of the speakers, even causing my dog to leave the room.

I grew up in the SDA church but am now an Atheist. Since leaving the church I am regularly reminded of how good Adventists are at isolating ourselves/themselves from the world. I have discovered that traditions, foods, and stories which were deeply engrained in my narrative are totally foreign to...Read full review »
