Would be 5 stars without Shackleford
I will preface this that I am on the older end of millenial, just now getting into golf. I've long been a fan of Grantland, and now the Ringer, and I think House does a great job capturing the great things about golf. He makes it fun, brings in great humor, and his enthusiasm is infectuious. Shackleford, on the other hand, is every negative stereotype that younger people have about golf, from a cultural perspective. Additionally, he doesn't bring any real analysis to the podcast, rather he mostly just name drops, and he appears to think Great Britain is a third world country, which is odd. Grantland and The Ringer are both great because they bring a perspective to many sports that is appealing to the younger generation of sports fans. This would be a great show if they found a cohost for House who brings more of that younger perspective, and perhaps covers more of the strategy, analysis, and history, rather than just listening to Shackleford name drop hanging out with Phil and Trump.Read full review »

Joe House has more hot golf takes than he could eat hot wings which would leave a normal man laying on the tile bathroom floor in severe meat sweats. Keep up the good work
