Through the incredibly journey that is The Mavericks' career, Raul and the Shady Ladies have worked together on side projects: producing a two-disc Spanish children’s album for Bandit Records, performing as the first artist for the revived and revered Soundstage music series on PBS and many other moments of madness!

It is heartbreaking that Connie passed soon after we taped this episode. She was a fierce force, wrapped in Southern charm, who did more for songwriters and Nashvillians than anyone realizes. She was instrumental in the growth and development of Nashville as a music center.
