Kat San finally reconnects once again with Cat Altomonte (@cataltomonte), the Senior Brand Communications Manager at The Standard Group. Growing up with siblings that all played baseball and softball growing up, Cat went onto join the Ateneo Softball Team in college whilst she also immersed herself in organizations such as the Ateneo Junior Marketing Association and Ateneo TUGON. A big foodie at heart, Cat has always dreamt of working with Yummy magazine where she landed an internship in college and eventually, a full-time role as the Assistant Food Editor from 2016 to 2018. Today, she is the Senior Brand Communications Manager over at the Standard Group (Yabu, Ippudo, Mighty Quinn’s, Elephant Grounds), whilst she is also doing freelance work as a food writer, a recipe developer, and a stylist for several corporate brands, media partners, and both print and online publications. In this episode, Cat shares with She Ready the biggest challenges she has faced after playing softball, what it is like working both in food media and marketing, her creative process before any campaign or shoot, and the importance of building a bigger table to create space for other people.
