“I have been dismayed by the progress of this podcast for some time and the decline is accelerating. In the February 2024 edition on the Unpleasantness At The Bellona Club the absolute refusal of either party, especially the guest, to accept the context of the period in which it was written into their analysis was infuriating. The guest contradicted herself frequently, often in the same sentence, yet Caroline joined in with this nonsense. I’ve subscribed to the podcast for years but no more. I can’t take the smug, anachronistic analysis any longer.
Not to mention Caroline’s grovelling, five-minute advert for her forthcoming book! I’m done.”
