Funny, fun, and very useful
I listen to all the Shop Talk Live podcasts when I am out on my daily walk. They are funny and fun. More importantly, they are useful. I learn new techniques and new ways of woodworking. I don't agree with everything the guys say. But that means that i have to re-evaluate what I am doing and why I am doing it, so even disagreement is helpful. When the guys talk about finishing, I wish they had a better understanding of the materials that are available and NOT available in Southern California. Some of the techniques I used 20 years ago are no longer permitted. But there are good new products to allow us to do good work.Read full review »

Enjoying the shop talks journey. Granted a cylindrical rabbet does not make sense, but this podcast helps make sense of the wood working world.

I wasn't sure how the guys from FWW would do a podcast that wasn't just a rehash of the magazine or a shameless promo. They have avoided both of those issues. The podcast is like eavesdropping on a coffee break at the magazine. We hear what's going on but not what the magazine will...Read full review »
