So great!
The Wisecrack podcast Show Me The Meaning takes the time to think deeply about the movies we love but the real benefit is I am better able to understand the society I live in. Employing intelligent, deeply curious highly educated people with a deep knowledge of pop culture Wisecrack has been able to use complex philosophy as the frame and lens to deconstruct the decisions people make to make the movies we love. Since culture reflects society in real time we can use movies as a way to look at and understand the formidable complex and dynamic factors that shape out daily lives and help us understand the deep human ache of meaning. I’ve enjoyed the interplay of hosts reactions and thoughtful responses to movies and found myself in a more thoughtful position to understand other people’s worlds. I recommend you follow Wisecrack if you think deeply and curiously about movies, people and our world.
